It was the month of January in the year 2019. I was preparing for civil services exam which was going to be held in the next month. I remember I was going to the cyber cafe to print out my admit card. That was when I met with an accident. My waist was injured. The next day when my house was full of guests to visit me, I got a message from him that he wanted to breakup.

I didn’t get an opportunity to cry myself out. The man whom I believed to be my soulmate was long gone and I had an exam to prepare for. I gave the preliminary part of the exam with a broken heart and after that I went into a depression mode. Suddenly everything started to make sense like ‘dude it’s over, accept it, he is never going to come back’. It took almost six months for me to just realize that it’s over. I remember I cried like hell. The empty periods seemed to be like forever as if it was never going to end.

I chose to remain single for the rest of my life but that also didn’t offer a solution. My bereaved heart was not founding peace anywhere. One day in the month of August 2019 a thought came to me, I remembered I used to make videos for him. While I was in a relationship with him I realized that I possessed the talent of making amazing videos. All those years I spent making videos for him, doing things that would make him happy. By now I realized why not start making videos for myself? Lets test my skill for me.

8 August 2019, I opened my Youtube channel with the name Pitch Perfect and posted my first video reciting a Bengali poem. I recieved about 200 views in a week. I felt motivated. I made some more videos on poetry, music and travel vlogs. Again, received good response. I decided to change the name of the channel but couldn’t found a proper one. For a month I just kept wondering. Finally I came up with a name matching with mine. VictoriSHEous. The SHE in VictoriSHEous is a symbol of gender equality. Career, success and victory should not be gender biased. As women we too have the right to pursue our dreams.

People around me kept chattering that at this age I was supposed to be married, I could go ahead with my career after marriage if my husband permits. I was supposed to get a bald, aged husband and there would be difficulty in conceiving a child etc.

In the present scenario, it’s not just the story of a single woman. Each and every woman out there who wants to pursue her dreams and live on her own terms face this kind of challenges in a patriarchal society. For all those women including myself I decided to make videos to send messages to the society.

15th November, 2019 , I published my first group work, an audio story. A channel that I started on my own started growing into a larger one with many young talents joining it. The larger a group, the larger problem it was supposed to face. So did I. I lost many close friends out of misunderstanding whom I still miss. I want them back even today but you know you can’t control other people’s actions.

My bereaved heart started healing and I finally managed to get out of my depression mode. Within a short span of time my team and I created two short films that was much appreciated by the viewers. I must say that I am really lucky to have got such a wonderful team which is full of talented people. This team has not only gifted me with amazing co-stars but also good friends, brothers and sisters whom I would like to cherish throughout my life.

Hey guys it’s me Jayashree, founder of VictoriSHEous. Today is the last of the year 2020, so I thought to give a review of our journey by introducing to you guys to our important team members. Over the last one year our family of Youtube team have expanded with so many talented people working together. We are not just co-workers and friends but a family where each and every moment we share our happiness, sorrow, success and even failure between ourselves.

**Jayashree Ghosh – Founder, Editor & Director**

I have nothing much to say about myself, in fact, my team members will say whether they are finding it interesting to work with me or not. So buddies leave your messages in the comment box if you have a message to convey. I would also request our audiences to leave a review on our work.

**Saikat Bhattacharjee (Sandy) – Casting, Managing & Assistant Director**

A brother is a gift to the heart, a friend to the spirit.

I have seen you grow up my dear brother but our bonding got strong only through this Youtube Channel and now you are one of the most important person in my life. I am quite sure if there’s something called previous birth you must have been my son right there. Oh my God what a talented person you are! Whether be it poetry, anchoring, acting, music, cinematography & direction, my dear brother I have learnt so much from you. Sometimes I wonder who is the elder one here, you or I. You speak so mature ‘bhaiyu’ and I am so proud of you. I really wish to see you as a successful director someday. The way you have supported me in each and everything I feel so protected and safe with you. Each and every successful team needs a person like you brother. VictoriSHEous is incomplete without you.

**Sulagna Satpathy – Production Manager & Accountant**

Oh my love, you are a person with the most genuine, caring and kindest of hearts. When it comes to you I just become speechless. We share a bond of more than 15 years love and VictoriSHEous gave us the chance to rekindle our friendship. You’re the most supportive person in my life, a well wisher and soul sister. Whenever I have been in problem you were there to hold my hand, to support me, advice me with all your motherly attention. Even during the toughest hours while we were shooting for nearly 10 hours everyday you have appeared just to make sure if I am okay. The most cool minded, sweetest, singing sensation in our group.

**Somasree Das – Assistant Production Manager & Translator**

Side by side or miles apart, sisters will always be connected by the heart.

I am a huge fan of you and your handicrafts love. From friends to soul sister to co-worker, I am blessed to have you in my life. You’re one of the most hardworking person in the group when it comes to origami and paper crafts. Distance doesn’t matter my dear when we are connected by heart. Whenever I have asked something out of you, you have left no stone unturned to finish that particular work. When it comes to love and support, you become one Mother Goddess for me. I respect your efforts Somu that you have shown towards the team. I am so proud of you.

**Sumit Sen – Content & Dialogue Writer**

One friend, one person who is truly understanding, who takes the trouble to listen to us as we consider our problems, can change our outlook on the work.

Woah Bro! From WBCS coaching to student-teacher to co-worker and then we came to know that you are elder to me but no worries, you can still call me Jayashree Di. You are one of the oldest member in the team, in fact, since the very beginning. Though distance and school timing don’t allow you much to participate in the events but still you’re one of the most important member in our group. I must say that your understanding level is superb, for any kind of situation you have always provided a mature solution to it bro, I kind of respect that aspect of you. I wish to see you as one of our best content writers and voice actor.

**Baisakhi Maji – Content & Dialogue Writer**

A friend who understand your tears is much more valuable than a lot of friends who only know your smile.

We met on the occasion of WBCS Mock Test and since then we are friends. Like Sumit, you too are the oldest member of our team. I like your voice and on that basis, our first audio story ‘Pota Weds Baby’ became a hit because of you and your efforts cannot be ignored in maximizing the views of our videos. We have worked on so many videos together after that starting from Nagin, where your costume and my editing skills were much appreciated. During lockdown, two of your scripts – ‘Interview’ and ‘Emni Corona Go’ helped our channel to take a major leap forward from audio stories to making vines for the first time and that in turn helped us to gain new subscribers. Such an amazing painter, artist and writer, I hope together we will be able to create much more and even better masterpieces in the future.

**Niporna Saha – Choreographer & Costume Supervisor**

Not sisters by blood but sisters by heart.

From my Yoga Trainer to friends to sisters, you are such a sweetheart. Acting, dancing or providing loving care you are an expert in all. I know banning of Tiktok was too much for you, even I think it shouldn’t have been like that 😛 but still sister your expression is something that deserves an A++. Our first project ‘Hrid Majhare Rakbo’ was amazing particularly because of your clipping where you were looking absolutely stunning in that green saree with no makeup put on. Next the music video on 25 Vaisakh, ‘Purano Sei Diner Katha’, ‘ Quarantine’, ‘Kaun Tujhe Yun Pyar Karega’, ‘9 Adyashakti’ – I feel quite honoured to have been able to work with you. Keep smiling lil sister because smile suites you.

**Saheli Sen – Content Writer & Dialogue Editor**

A sister is God’s way of proving He doesn’t want us to walk alone.

Talented girl – Singer, Writer & Poet. We must have been sisters in our previous birth at least our facial structure proves that. We have passed through almost similar phases in our lives and I understand that your condition was far worse than mine. I respect the way you remained strong and in the near future I believe you will be an inspiration to many. I started liking you since the first day we meet. My only wish is that you spend some more time with yourself and your works, write more poetry and recite more. You’ve also a hidden actor within you just need to nurture that. Please don’t break out laughing in the middle of a scene that’s my only request 😛

**Samarpita Chatterjee – Production Assistant & Event Manager**

Fairies are real…I have one. She calls herself MY SISTER.

Sweet girl, came to know about you from Saheli. We didn’t get much opportunities to work together and that’s why never got the scope to know you as a person. Still your dedication to our team in managing events I really appreciate. Our first event together ‘Rupang Dehi, Jayang Dehi’ would not have been successful without your support and help. Hope we will make a blast in the future sis.

**Krishnendu Roy – Production Coordinator,Gaffer & Set Designer**

Sometimes we need someone to simply be there. Not to fix anything, or to do anything in particular, but just to let us feel that we are cared for and supported.

First of all ‘Ohh Ki Lagcheee’ everytime we meet this is what I would like to shout out to you bro. Amazing actor, I really appreciate the efforts you have shown towards the group even though being a new comer. In absence of my bro Saikat you have supported me like my bro part 2, it sometimes makes me thoughtful as what relation or connection I have with you guys that give me a homely feeling when I am with you people. Bro you are an amazing person by heart, super talented, friendly, super caring and supportive. I won’t degrade you by saying thanks to you bro but still I would like to say, at least once, ‘Thanks for everything chottu bro.’

**Trisha Chakraborty – Production Designer, Costume Designer & Jewellery Sponsor**

Pretty woman, you have hidden talent that you need to unfold right now. But the thing is, the kind of work we do is full of challenges. We will need not only patience but a cool mind to tackle difficult situations. Film making is quite challenging and I hope by now you have understood it very well. My dear the only problem is you find it difficult to keep your calm at struggling times and I, being sensitive, find it difficult to trust people again after a serious misunderstanding. But as human beings, we are born unique, so it’s quite natural that we will have our differences. However, for people like us who love doing what we do (acting & direction) having a cold attitude towards one another is a total no-no. We are not perfect and I think if anything goes wrong we should be understanding as well as forgiving towards one another and in case you have doubts, always feel free to call. I have lots of love for you as well deep inside my heart. Maybe someday we will overcome this awkwardness, come more closer and become soul sisters as well. Always remember, I am the most forgiving and loving person you will know in your life. Just take a few more steps along with me so that we can establish a deep connection someday while working together.

Yo Bro, there’s no fun without you. I must say ‘I like the way you lie’ 😛 Whatever it is, you are my brother’s best friend so in that sense you are my brother as well. I would like to thank you for everything dear brother because whenever we needed something you came along to help, to serve us actually. Even amidst heavy downpour you came whenever we needed you. Even though being a very busy person, the time you have invested in our team is really something we should be thankful for and I am grateful to you that you became a part of our team. Your acting bro, simply, I am speechless. I want to see more such great acting from your part in the future. Please don’t feel angry if I dare to bother you too much with unnecessary things. But dear brother you’re soul of the entire team now without whom everything is boring. I wish to listen to your lies and jokes more attentively in the near future. You’re awesome bro!

We don’t need a superhero when we have a big brother.

The most important member of the VictoriSHEous Artist Forum and the best friend, big brother of us all. Tapas Da we all love you for all the hardworks, dedication, support and care you have showered on us within a short span of time. All those days starving (as we skipped lunch most of the days during the shoot) you came along, no matter how many times we say ‘thank you’ it will always be less to show our gratitude towards you. In the absence of my bro Saikat, the support you have offered us in the entire journey of ‘9 Adyashakti’ is not something to be forgotten easily throughout our life. And in my heart you have won the place of a caring big brother, friend and guide, whom I would like to cherish for the rest of my life.

Other members of the family worth mentioning are Neel Da, (Professional actor)I’m a huge fan of you, who possess a heart of gold, Shreya (Voice Artist) such a lovely person and sweet sister you are! Susmita (Professional Makeup Artist), I have no words to thank you for what you have done for us, no one out there will do such things ever for us that you have done. Some new hardworking members who have join our official group are Tanjan, Purnendu, Tuhin, Safiunnesa, Anwesha, Suchita, Parnapu, Anushrita & Bishal.
